Perhaps the most famous colonial church in the Philippines, the Barasoain Church was started to be constructed in 1885. It is where the Malolos Revolutionary Congress was convened on 15 September 1898. The church’s convent (leftmost building) served as the seat of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo’s revolutionary government who promulgated the Malolos Constitution. General Aguinaldo also established the Literario-Cientifica Universidad de Filipinas in the same place in 1898. The church and convent were declared as a national landmarks in 1973.

The noodles are made of rice so no cholesterol in there but of course the ingredients are swimming with fat. No problem. Just eat in moderation.

Bubo philippensis The Philippine Eagle Owl is endemic to Philippines, and one of the largest owls in the world. It has a wingspan of 48 inches (120 cm). Locally known as “kuwago” or “bukao”, it is found near lakes in lowland jungles in the Philippine islands of Catanduanes, Samar, Mindanao, Luzon and Leyte. What the eagle-owl eats is a mystery for the species is poorly known, and, like the lesser eagle-owl (Mimizuku guerneyi), it lives only in lowland forest, its large size requires large tracts of forest to maintain populations.[2] The eagle-owl lays one egg per clutch with incubation period of 35 days -wikepidia.org

Tarsier
These are one of the smallest primates in the world, they’re only found in the Philippines (so far, in two places, on the island of Bohol in the central islands of the Philippines and in the province of Sarangani on Mindanao in Southern Philippines). They are nocturnal (that’s probably why the eyes are so large, sometimes they look like Yoda) but this particular colony is called “show business” tarsiers - they were bred in captivity in the conservation center of Bohol - because they are shown for educational purposes, they’ve managed to change their sleeping behaviour - they’re awake now during the day.

St Paul’s Metropolitan Cathedral, opposite Plaza Salcedo, in the city of Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. The first Vigan cathedral was ordered and built in 1574 by Juan de Salcedo. Another version of the church was constructed in 1641. The present baroque-style building was completed in 1800. Its bell tower stands separately in Plaza Burgos.

Mayon’s symmetric and almost perfect cone was formed through alternate pyroclastic and lava flows. It is the Philippines’ most active volcano and is considered to be the world’s most perfectly formed volcano. The crosses that you can see are tribute to the lives lost during the most recent eruption which caused pyro-clastic and lava flows that claimed lives and devastated the surrounding area.
